David Joseph Hoeinghaus

Possui graduação em Science Conservation Biology & Biodiversity do departamento de Wildlife & Fisheries Sciences, Texas A&M University (2002), doutorado em Philosophy Ecology, Evolutionary Biology & Systematics do departamento de Wildlife & Fisheries Sciences, Texas A&M University (2006) e pós-doutorado pela Kansas State University (2009). Atualmente é professor e pesquisador no Departamento de Biologia e Instituto de Ciências Aplicadas da University of North Texas. Tem experiência e interesse na área de ecologia de peixes, comunidade e ecologia de rios e estuários, especialmente ecologia trófica e cadeias alimentares; determinantes da estrutura da comunidade e funcionamento de ecossistemas; teoria de adaptações reprodutivas (life-history); impactos antropogênicos em comunidades aquáticas e ecossistemas; biologia de conservação; biodiversidade e sustentabilidade; retauração ecológica.
